Vagabond Inn - Ventura

I live there in a program. And. It's exactly what one would think it would be. Very basic very old school. We exactly what we need to survive. I'm grateful and thankful to have the opportunity to stay here in my way to permanent housing. I really miss the restaurant here. They should bring that back the hobo omelette was a hit!! Loved it! That would allow a few if I'd to have work close to home. THAT would be awesome. Thanx Vagabond! BRING BACK THE RESTAURANT!!! #Hoboomelette

They food is always great . But the mashed potatoes were cold. The fried chicken is the best. Always order that dish. There are not many other places that serve you great dinners and breakfast meals. Our wait staff was the best even when she was busy.

The room itself was a decent size, definitely good for the price. The area the motel is in is a bit dodgy so it didn't feel particularly safe to walk around at night. We ate at the café on the premises and it was decent. The pool we ended up not swimming in because it was overcrowded and dirty. The continental breakfast is literally coffee/tea and pastries with a small amount of fruit. There is also no place to sit so it is very much "grab-and-go". Overall, you get what you pay for.

I Love this motel! The front desk staff is amazing. Christina and Deborah are very friendly, knowledgeable, and will do what they can to help you out! The location has an older feel to it, but you with it being close to downtown Ventura you can't beat the location or the price. The quality of the rooms speaks for its self.

Booked at around 10:20pm for the same night. We got there at about 12. We had a single room but the bed was king size. Small room but very clean, cozy and comfortable. room had a microwave and a small fridge, a coffeemaker with all you need to enjoy a good coffee. Their breakfast is very simple: fruits, English muffins and you can choose butter, peanut butter or jelly to put on them, granola bars, tea, hot cocoa and coffee. Enough to start your day and very good for the price. We paid a total of $170 including taxes and a $10 fee because we brought our small dog with us. Not sure how close we were from the beach but for sure not walking distance. City looked beautiful in the morning.

We loved it. We are fans of mid-century beach hotels and this one was right on. Exterior is preserved well and the rooms interiors have been tastefully upgraded. Shower was hot and had fantastic water pressure. Clean hardwood floors, nice mattresses and crisp white bedding. Extra towels! All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Bridge to beach and pier super close.

Check in was great. Stacey was sweet and kind. She filled us in on all the spots to o and see around here. Even made us fresh coffee because we rode the Harley in and she could tell we were cold. Rooms were great and all of the staff were friendly and helpful the entire time. Short walk to the pier, beach, and downtown shops. Loved It!

Our room was clean and welcoming. The person at the front desk was friendly. The overhead lights didn't turn on but we made do just fine with the lamps in the room. Good soap provided. Individually wrapped pastries and coffee for breakfast, we took some for the road.
